We're pleased to announce our new premium wallpaper collections.

January 2009 - the very first issue - will be released next week, with more issues to follow.

If you've ever wanted to say thanks to MRH, here's a way to do so. Proceeds will be used to help make MRH even better.

Larger sizes...

Hi Joe,

Is there any chance you can add larger sizes? I'd love pictures with at least a 3840 pixel width (and if they are at 1024 pixel height, even better! But if not, I can crop.) They would be used as wallpaper on my triple monitor setup (3 x 1280 by 1024.)

Right now, I'm using wallpaper pictures from MR, blown up and cropped. Needless to say, the resolution looses a lot in the process.

Thanks,
...jim

Larger sizes?

Jim: Unfortunately, not without a lot of effort. Most images submitted to the magazine are in the 1900 x 1200 range - we tend not to get much larger because lots of large photos take longer to upload when people submit their articles to us. 1900 x 1200 is already 50% larger than our ezine page resolution so it seems like a decent compromise. If the images get too large, they just take much longer to upload.

Understood.

Joe, I understand. Never hurts to ask, though.

Last question: Will you be offering a single picture from the package as a free "sample" or preview? I'd really like to see what it will look like on my monitors. If it looks good enough, I'm in for the whole pack.

Thanks,
...jim

Tried out the sample

Tried out the 1920 x 1080 size. Looks much better blown up and cropped to 3840 x 1024 than the other ones I'm using. Of course, the source for those was 1600 x 1200.

Looking forward to getting the complete package!

Thanks,
...jim

Excellent!

I got mine and they are excellent!  You can't even get a decent cup of coffee for the price of these beautiful pictures.  I highly recommend them!

Windows 7 screensaver & background

It's nice that in Windows 7 you can select a folder full of photos/pictures to use as desktop backgrounds, and also d the same thing for your screensaver - and they rotate automatically.

So now I'm going to have a lot of gorgeous photos running across my dual-screen setup at work.
