Hey guys,

I'm trying to replace my old avatar, but each time I upload the new one it gets replaced with the one I'm trying to delete. Any thoughts on this?

Been there....

I asked the same question long ago. Cache is the problem. Either < shift> refresh your browser or clear out temporary internet files.

Your avatar is getting replaced

Your avatar is getting replaced - go flush your browser cache.

To make our site fast, we cache stuff like crazy - which means we rely on your browser to refesh pages from local storage on your computer rather than do another round trip to the server for everything. What's happening is you're getting your old avatar that's stored in your browser, not the new avatar you're loading on our server.

So change your avatar, save it, log out, then flush the browser cache, log back in - and voila - your avatar should now be changed.

To flush your browser cache, just follow the instructions here.

Thanks, guys. That worked. I thought my cache was flushed due to some other site refreshes. Whatever the case, I'm up and running.

Flushing Your Avatar?

Or the fast way to flush it is by using the little handle on the tank
