Having worked in the Gulf Coast area for the MoPac, I used to see those double bolster cars frequently. Try rerailing one! Several shippers seemed to have them. I remember Celanese most vividly. Glad you are building such fine models to remember them by.

Yes they do and they can take a lesson from you on heavy duty tank cars. I'd love to see the six axle Mobil cars done along with the 8 axle Tet lead cars you did. -------Ken

Thank you sir! There were hundreds of six and eight axle cars built in the 60s, but all have timed out due to the 40 year rule! No printer, all done by hand!

Why 2 ACI Panels

Since you posted the prototype photo I see that it is accurate, but I wonder why did it have 2 ACI panels on the side of the car? Could it have something to do with the extra axles?
