JC Shall

It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em.  There were a few late-comers in the week before last's post.  Check them out, then come back here afterward.

Shopping and Drinking

Working on a HO scale structure of my Willbridge Oregon layout. Part of the building has a small market and around the corner is a Tavern. I am currently in the process of adding all the small details and signs that really make the structure pop.

Last week?

Jack Shall: Did you not create a thread for May 2 thru 8? Just to confuse me.I do notice that the previous thread has some postings from May 8th. Did bring a chuckle to me. Thought they were "a day late and a dollar short"!

A Missing Thread?

Quote:

Sure did Morgan, but it must have slid off the radar . . . folks sneaked some new posts into the week before.  They were probably just testing me!

Sure does confuse me!

Jack. When the thread is marked 2 thru 8 and there's a new message dated the 10th. That's where the 1-7 had messages after that. And it just makes me laugh! Always fun though - to see what folks are doing with their layouts.

That's amazing. Hyper detail at its finest. How do you make (buy?) HO scale vegetables and liquor bottles?

I finally finished my latest........

.....project, my log train.  The caboose still needs to be re-lettered after the Abanakee Lumber Co acquired it from the Reading.

Just messing around with my cell at lunch...

At the Buladeen, TN depot, everyone is getting ready for the 12:15 from Elizabethton:

Meanwhile, down at the Winner, TN depot, a couple of women are waiting for the next westbound train.

Really nice-looking layout

Really nice-looking layout Chris. Please share more! The wood racks and chip hoppers make for a nice train.

Here's a 35mm color slide

Here's a 35mm color slide photo that I shot back in May of 1989. All the train models are mine and the layout belonged to Mark Olstyn of Detroit MI. Back then I was modeling early Conrail.

Great Pic Jim

Jim that is a great photo ,

and the fact it was done in 89 and from a slide is impressive compared to all the high tech cameras we have today

Mustangok Shopping and Drinking

First off, I lived in Mustang Oklahoma for 2 years, so every time I see your signature I think of that. Lol.

The liquor bottles are a mix of scrap pieces of very small evergreen rod or square cut and glued together then painted. I also bought a set of the Walthers Scenemasters Bottles and I used some of those.  Vegetables are a mix of ground foam, Preiser parts, Woodland Scenics, some hand made pieces from foliage I had and some rocks.

Ha! Then you know Mustang sounds cooler than it is. You'll remember there is a shortline passing through town, so that's in the plus column.

That is an impressive depth of field you've captured from evening hours into the lighted shop interior.

That is one of the best examples of modeling a fall scene!  Is there any place online to view more pictures of Mr. Olstyn's layout?

Two hobbies in one

Besides trains my other money burning hobby is monster trucks. Here is an old publicity shot taken near Granite City, Illinois.  1985 I think?

I would bet monster trucks

I would bet monster trucks burn a lot of money!  That's a hobby I could not afford for sure.  Trains drains enough as it is.
