This is the first picture of another diorama cross-run using some of my German prototype TT scale dioramas:

Here, on my TT scale Finsterwalde diorama, a V60 shunting loco from train operator HVLE is pulling empty limestone cars out of an industrial siding for the formation of a train consist. Later, a heavy series 241 diesel locomotive arrived to take the train to the Harz mountains limestone plants.

Due to a temporary track closure in the Leipzig region, the train had to be re-routed via Berlin. In the pictzre below, the train is passing through an area in the Eastern part of the city, which is modelled on my Berlin diorama.

After having arrived at the Rübeland limestone plant, the mainline locomotive is uncoupled. A V60 shunting loco from Fels Werke is taking over to carry the limestone train into the plant. This photo was taken on my limestone plant diorama.

Brings back memories

I spent 5 years in southern Germany, so this sort of thing looks pretty familiar.
