I subscribed previously, I

I subscribed previously, I think my subscription may still be in effect, but I have never watched a video.  Unfortunately, I've grown so weary of fighting with user names and passwords for everything I do, that I've starting shunning things and just doing without.  This despite the fact I have the highest regard for the work Joe is doing, used to read the magazine, loved the ads as they were very informative as to what's available out there, but the security for everything has just worn me out.  "Everything" I refer to is everything on the internet, not just MRH.

I'm hopeful for the day when we get some sort of facial recognition, or something.

Am I a jerk for even posting these thoughts?  If so, I'll accept that.

Thanks you!

I just extended my membership another year. Keep up the good work!

p.s. @Deane - I read everything using the iPhone X with facial recognition so passwords are a thing of the past.

Password manager

I hear ya, too many logins to remember!

I now use a password manager: Dashlane. Basically, you create a special digital vault that you secure with a really hard to guess password (like an entire sentence that you memorize) and then store all your logins in the vault. You fire up the software when you start your day using the uber secure password and then it fills in all your login screens for you throughout the day.

Very handy and finally makes dealing with logins a breeze.

I never have to remember logins now, but if I do need to look one up, it's in the vault and I can go view it if needed. Otherwise it just logs me in easy peasy -- yet it remains secure.

Thanks for your kind response

Thanks for your kind response Joe.  I'll look into Dashlane.

I never turn my computer off.  Does that happen to mean I wouldn't need to re-enter the super secret sentence each day by any chance?

Yes

Yes, as long as you don't shut Dashlane down, it's available and doesn't need a refresh.

I use KeePass

It's free and has versions for both the computers and Android devices I use - just store my encrypted password file up on my Google drive (if I'm not online there is a local copy as well).

And on my Android phone it accepts my fingerprint as the password.

Recurring payments

Hi,

I have TMTV with a recurring payment I got on a special 3+ years ago. If I take advantage of the sale for a 2 year sub would I see a change in that recurrence amount? If so, would the new amount be the "regular" rate or based off of this special rate?

Thanks

Coupon codes are one shot

When you use a coupon code with an expiry date like this one (only good for 24 hrs) it’s a one-shot savings on recurring payments. The next billing will be at the regular rate, although you can always apply any currently active coupon code at the time of renew. TMTV has a standing 15% off member renew discount code if nothing else.

Can't do it

Whenever I try to do the change to membership paypal comes up with "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later."  Which I did a few times.

Its not a big deal, I will just leave the existing recurrence.

Given you contacted us during the deal being active, you're locked in. However long it takes to get you set up, you get the 40% off.

Will send you an email and let's get this working for you.

As usual, I can't log on here at work because I can't remember my password. /at home it's remembered by the pc.

Asking for password doesn't seem to work. I wait and wait and wait and no new p/w comes in.

Dashlane apparently feels I don't meet their minimum standards.

I tried Dashlane.  After 45 minutes of just trying to get into it, I gave up.  No matter what I did I got the same message.  Wrong password.  That included using the override code they emailed me (actually, their computer mailed it).

After they emailed me a code to get in and change the password, and it also failed, I decided it wasn't for me.  They must be telling me they don't like me.

no. not of the past.

just now another program  (that can be hacked) that is on your phone remembers said passwords for you, and the in phone cam uses your face to unlock and transmit (can be intercepted by a crook) said passwords online to the website.
