A little bit of rural railroading.

A geep crosses an old trestle on my layout depicting shortline and branchline railroading in the rural south.

Looks like the kudzu is starting to do its thing along the banks. Really looks like the south!

Great scene Chris

This week I attended the RPM meet in Marion, Ohio.  Small fun show at the old depot there.

When you do go to a good

When you do go to a good train show, you'll wonder why you never went before.  I started going back in the mid-1980's in Houston TX and have been going ever since.

I wouldn't bet my life on it. I know plenty of people who don't live within a 5 hour drive of the nearest train show of any type (and I don't mean people in the middle of nowhere, either)...

Nearly my submission for the Railway Modellers' Meet

The Railway Modellers' Meet starts this Friday, and for the first time in years, we are including a photo display.  Here's a first go at my submission.  I've decided I don't like the figure, and there will be a background when I display the photo at the meet.

Two Tools Sign

My neighbor and I have a fairly steep sloop on either side of our houses and with all the rain in the last couple of years we are getting some erosion issues.

Duck tape the grass and dirt to keep things from moving if that could actually work, I suspect the HOA would say no because it looks too tacky. Sometimes figuring out train issues is a whole lot easier.

Third week

Less time this week but able to kitbash and put all the roofs on my little N scale  buildings.

All the buildings have glazed Windows too now.

Lot of work because there are a lot of them, some intricate.

I also managed to nearly finish the second house which I named "Fos Ships Suppliers" because of the inspiration of this kitbash row of houses.

It was also necessary to add a small roof and wall to Fos suppliers at the right side because I made a mistake with my measurements, so just the place to put a small wall to correct the mistake.

The green building and the blue one will be finished probably this we, nextwork will be the back side of the dock to be finished.
