Michael Tondee

Just had my left hand and arm done a few days ago. My right is not near as bad as my left is or was. I am now wearing a brace on it when I sleep but it probably will need surgery too. Scenery is no real issue but structures and rolling stock are. Hopefully that will change as even though I don't need many more structures for my little pike, I'm going to need at least a dozen or more Tichy wooden ore cars. I don't think RTR will do for the look and feel I want for the Black N' Blue unless someone knows of  RTR cars out there I don't. I can't afford to have them built and I'm unfortunately a lone wolf model rail. No one in the area. Maybe a mix of wood and steel will work. I do have an old Roundhouse shake the box Gorre and Daphetid kit that a dear friend gave me. I guess we shall see.

I continue to hope to get the history and why's and where of of the Black N' Blue typed up and posted in this space but simple typing is a chore right now. I'm hoping to try freeware dictation software as I can now pretty much recite the fictional history and information in my sleep! I've refined it pretty well!

Thanks for reading, more to come...

Hope you get better soon

Hope you get better soon Michael. I suspect it will take several weeks more to get better if it went like it has been going for my wife. I will suggest don't over do it as that tends to result in slowing the recovery.

Recovery

Michael;

I had surgery on my right hand last year about this time. When the cast came off the PT began and a brace during sleep. I found that it is easy to over do the PT and mess up the time it takes to recover but using the brace finally paid off once resolved to use it faithfully. It took some time but I now have full use of my hand with out any numbness or tingling. It seems to take forever but, in the big picture, it will slowly pass.

Good luck with your recovery!
