The second night of open house was also well attended, but rather than a mad dash, people had more time to visit and ask questions, and they asked a lot of questions about the hobby and what not!

The narrow gauge was the only layout in operation on the second night.

Unfortunately we had an electrical short on the old standard gauge layout.  It wanted to go to the layout heaven a little early I guess. It will be dismantled starting the day after Christmas.  So the narrow gauge really got to shine for the evening and visitors enjoyed the 4-5 trains that were running on it.

Horseshoe Creek Trestle was the last thing to get put in to complete the main line just a week before the open house season began.  The trestle is still missing some stringers and cross beams.

Visitors check out the recently installed Horseshoe Meadow Depot.  The town will be filled in with more buildings at a later time.

As always kids of all ages enjoyed the trains.

It was a fun second night even though very cold.

There may be a third and final night as the modern layout has miraculously stopped shorting.  Either way everyone is looking forward to see what comes next.

Happy holidays!

We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.

Also Wow

Terrific work.  Very impressive, and also very cool that you open it up for others to enjoy.
