Here is another result from a collaboration with virtual reality artist Anthemios.

The foreground is a heavily rendered photo of a model scene in TT scale (1:120). For the background picture, I used a screenshot Anthemios took from the video game 'Mad Max'. The compilation below demonstrates how that pictures was created.

On the left side is the model scene arranged for taking the photo on the balcony of my apartment. The upper picture on the right shows the photo as it came out of the camera. The lower picture on the right is the final result.

For my earlier work with Anthemios, see my blog entry from 2016-02-12, https://forum.mrhmag.com/post/collaboration-between-model-railroader-and-artist-12202867

I just discovered your blog

Joern, I just discovered your blog and site. Wow!

You certainly have inspired me to make another diorama; this was my latest one:

Thanks

Deemiorgos, thanks for the nice comment! The trackwork on your diorama looks excellent. If you do not have the time to start a big layout, a diorama is a good project to get something done and stay in practice. I also like to model different eras and prototypes, which would not be possible with that one big layout that will keep you busy for decades.
