Fast Tracks

Only a couple weeks away from the launch of Fast Tracks new website! This site will represent 18 months of deep development and we can say with confidence that it will be the most progressive and user friendly website in the industry. 100% compatible across all platforms, including tablets and phones, placing an order with us will now be easier then ever!

As our website is our most important asset, our store front and the single point of interaction with our customers, we have invested heavily in building a custom system tweaked for Fast Tracks unique line of products. No "out of the box" solution can possibly handle the complexity of our product line, so we had to build from the ground up. We are sure you will enjoy it!

The current site has been in use since 2008 and works pretty well, but we are running into some major limitations with it. The main one being we have 4992 part numbers in the Fast Tracks catalog, and it can only handle 5000. This is why we have not released many new items lately, we just can't get them on the current site!

The other issue is the current site is not a responsive design. To display and function properly on mobile devices, a completely new site had to be developed. Actually, three. One configured for large desktop monitors, one for tablets, and one for phones. The tablet and phone versions need to each have a landscape and portrait version as well. Creating this to work across all browsers and platforms is no small task, which is why we have been at it for over 18 months.  With the new, fully responsive site, it will be just as easy to shop from your phone or tablet as it is with a desktop computer.

Barring any major issues, this will be live before July 1st this year.

Accessibility

I trust the new site will be accessible to blind and low vision customers using screen readers or voiceOver technology. My wife would like to browse the site to get my Christmas present!

Great news!

Always nice to hear that a hobby supplier is expanding and growing! So much for the "hobby is dying" myth.
