Awesome work everyone last week!  Time to start of this week's photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

In progress...

...all done with artist oil paints...weathering is done in different degrees of dilution of the oils...only used burned sienna and burned umber untill this stage...adding lamp black for the underside in the next step...I only use Winsor&Newton artist oils for their fineness of their pigments...other then that, take your time and work in stages...and think "common sence" when weathering...

Not much to be seen...

... in the yard today.

But down at the river, the boys of the B&B gang are setting up old piledriver OB to do some work on the trestle.

H0n3 modular stuff, of course.

@Rick

You better use some serious flashing where your flat roof meets the wall of the peaked roof...all the rain run off will head that direction!   Looks good Rick...just kidding.   John

I'm with you, John!  To two

I'm with you, John!  The two buildings are supposed to look like they were cobbled together and will indeed have flashing & tar where the roofs meet.

Excellent work this week everyone!

That Cascade Green train is kicking Jeff!

Excellent In Progress shot Jappe!

The Greenville Gondola borders on being the most realistic car I have ever seen Gary, the pipe load is outstanding and the empty car rivals it, very very well done my friend!

Just some unorthodox shooting angles on an old dio, was kind of going for the "shot from the overpass" look, not sure I'm liking at much but it does catch the class GP38 #300 and Katy's famed F38M #401B69a(1).jpg

Climax locomotive in B&W

Some black and white shots of my Climax locomotive running around the layout. The scale is Sn3 and the engine is a brass PBL engine. The engine has a DCC decoder, smooth runner.

Wow, great work from everyone!

I especially like that pile driver shot; and the color of the pipes in the Greenville gondola is so perfect, they stand out in a scene that is brimming with perfection.

Gardening and Landscaping time

Nice sunny and hot afternoon, so making trees: My favorite way, the "15 minutes" per trees technic. On the layout they will look nice (outside sunlight not the best) So: 7 tall trees, 4 "manicured" trees and 4 shrubs. It took me about 2.5 hours from start to finish (raw material, glue, paint, glue foliage and let dry) I'll plant them [on the layout] later.

Project 'Popsicle'...

Definitely an 'in-process' photo - been working on this one for years, as time and desire allowed.  SP TE70-4S 'Popsicle' 7030 rounds a curve on its way downgrade to Emerton on my proto-fictitious Emerton Branch on the SP Oregon Division.  This was bashed from an old N scale Atlas/Kato U25B using square brass tube for the unique exhaust stack, Evergreen styrene and lift rings, wipers, etc. from Gold Medal Models detail set number 160-7.  Still a bit of work needed - some detail bits, 'specially on the pilots and roof, and a bit of weathering yet to add.DSCF4805.JPG
