A friendly Hallo to all!

I'm in search on a prototype picture of a wooden Swift reefer of years 1930 or a bit later. This picture is very close to this picture which I took with my new Swift reefer like this.

The prototype car is an identical class like this Swift reefer, 36 ft, wood sheathed and with steel frame and is pictured standing in front of a ramp or icing platform with some industry in background. Btw. the car number of prototype is 4906 however the prototype picture is a b/w one, of course.

I have seen this picture on an Ebay offer some times ago, unfortunately after ending of offer (and I have stored a small copy however I can't show it here or use in publicity). I know also that the seller of picture was Ted Culotta known from the Speedwitch Media however I did not receive an answer on my question, where I can understand his silentness.

I next time I will add a short description on my website about rebuilding of this and a second model and love to add prototype pictures and information additionally to my own work. And now I would like to find the owner of this prototype picture for asking of permission for using this picture on my website.

Maybe that the buyer of this picture is to find here under members in this forum? Or maybe that everyone knows the new owner of this picture?
I would be lucky to receive your hints and ideas how to find the owner and his picture. Thank you very much to all!

@Dear Prof ...

Thank you very much for this nice and good link - However and sorry, this is not that photo what I would like to receive.

This linked reefer is a maybe modernized type with six door hinges. "My Swift reefer picture" which I would like to find is absolutely identical to my pictured model, I would like to say that ATLAS has chosen this searched prototype for their 36' wood reefer models - however they added some not correct details on their model like truss rods. In a former thread I have written that the ATLAS reefer is wrong modelled with four very large doors hinges. However with this missed picture I found exactly the prototype and so would like to make a comparison with a 100 percent accordance of prototype and model - and this is the reason for my search.

And thanks, Prof, I'm very surprised that my signature is not visible on opening post of a new thread. A have added afterwards a copy on it now.

Swift

The bright red meat reefer did not appear until after WWII(I have heard 1948 or 1949). Before that they were reefer yellow with a red block with 'SWIFT' on the right panel.

Swift again

@jrbernier,

Yes you are right, this red livery was a paint scheme that was introduced in 1949 and after.
I found a good description about history of SWIFT reefers on this description sheet of Sunshine models - http://www.sunshinekits.com/sunimages/sun24a.pdf.
And now I should find a solution for using these models with my 1930 train - repainting or selling and buying other models with these four hinges per door? With these two Swift reefers from Atlas I had a good proof of relative well modeled reefers after a real prototype, including the paint scheme.

Picture was found!

Last weeks were a good ones, I found the picture where I searched for with help of a very good friend from Big Blue forum.

I received also permission for using this picture on my website, unfortunately only there.
I started a new description with a short introduction and the need, that I ought to replace the whole frame against a straight one of the announced 36 ft boxcars from Accurail. This should be the most simple way to receive a good looking model.
Please click this link to my website for seeing the first pictures of this rebuilding project of my Swift reefers from Atlas. Thanks also to all who have given ideas and hints for finding this prototype picture of Swift reefer.
