I am a new subscriber, so that may be the REAL cause of my problems.  I can view the magazine perfectly, and click on the manufacturers links fine.  But when I click on a link that has more information, for example mrhmag.com/node/22469 I cannot see it.  CHROME says "This webpage is not available" and IE says "This page can't be displayed."  The same thing for MRH videos.  I have tried it on a Windows 7 computer and a Chromebook.  I followed your suggestions on troubleshooting downloading your magazine, but zilch.

You have some filtering of URL aliases

The URL mrhmag.com is a shorthand alias for model-railroad-hobbyist.com and on rare occasions we've found some web hosting providers that have security settings that disallow aliases. Almost all websites have shorthand aliases, so your internet hosting provider (ISP) almost certainly has added the major exceptions to allow them to resolve like youtu.be resolving to youtube.com. So you need to check with your ISP and ask if they can add an exception to allow mrhmag.com to resolve to model-railroad-hobbyist.com. Most ISPs allow URL aliases because it's so common, but a few ISPs apparently have cranked up their security settings so high that an alias by a small outfit like us fails. They're being a bit too overzealous, so you may need to ask them to add an exception for our alias. That's most likely what's going on. If you have a mobile device with a 3G or 4G web connection that's on a different ISP, try that and see if the mrhmag.com URLs will resolve. Bet you they will, which will prove it's your ISP.

I have the same problem

It' my provider (Brighthouse Networks) problem.  I contacted them and they said they would check it out and call me back.  When they called me they said they didn't have the problem in Tampa (I live in Orlando).  Another friend of mine nearby is having the same problem.  The tech said he would check further and call me back.  He never did.  They don't really care that it doesn't work.  Lousy customer service!!!

Here's my posting on the problem:  http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/24893
