Bobby, where did the scale chain come from?

Bill, it's sold by Wright

Bill, it's sold by Wright Track models as brake chain. You can only use two pieces off each fret for safety chains, but it looks better than 40 link or plastic to me. The fret is $4.00. There are uses for the short ones I'm sure.

Some times ago I asked for fine chains here and there were the answer that I should try to get them from a jewelry shop. After first searches at jewelry dealers without success I searched in internet and I found one, really one only, with an offer of very fine silver chains with 50 links per inch.

See on the left the 50 link chain which I installed to an AJAX brake gear in comparison to an ordinary 40 link chain and plastic part from a brake kit.
Click my post where I implemented these fine chain on a hand brake - https://forum.mrhmag.com/post/reefers-very-large-pfe-reefers-12201133.

That's beautiful chain! I found some 52 links per inch, but it's not much smaller than the 40. So, tell us where you found it.

Bobby, here a link to the

Bobby, here a link to the Ebay shop - http://www.ebay.com/itm/231094720901?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D231094720901%26_rdc% 3D1
My advice, select lenght 50cm (20 in) and thickness 0,8mm (0.032 in). Thickness of wire is 0.008 in.
This is the finest chain and that what I purchased.
Write a pm if you need my assistance.
