I started adding fences to my PoLA layout. I ended up designing and etching my own fences as I wanted the barbed wire as an integral part of the fence.  I also designed some gates to go with the fences.   The fences will be available for sale from Alkem Scale Models if you want to try some yourself.   http://alkemscalemodels.biz/chain-link-fence/

The fences look great. I

The fences look great. I really liked that track plan but for another environment. I thought it could be used as a junction between mainline and a steel mill. The components that were purchased to build that years ago are stored for that future layout.

So - N scale coming ?

I can imagine in N scale the etched panel would be extremely fragile. What do you think, Bernie?

BTW on your light towers page, the smaller tower dimensions listed, I presume, is N scale, but the page shows a "(HO" suffix on the dimensions.

(It's been a while since I looked at the Alkem offerings - I need to browse there more often.)

I'm interested...

Your fences look great! I purchased and fussed enough with the Walthers chain link fence. I was looking at pulling them up and getting the BLMA fences. But yours look like a good option as well.

Just in time

Dear Bernie,

Great to see and hear, and perfect timing to pick-up where I strongly suspect the Atlas-buyout-of-BLMA will leave off...

Happy Modelling,

N Scale fences

I am looking into making these in N Scale using a thinner material. The design will be slightly different to account for the thinner material but it will still be easy to assemble.
