Does any company make a sleeve to allow Athearn bluebox type flywheels that have a 3 mm motor shaft diameter to be used on the newer can motors that have a 2 mm shaft diameter?

Suggestions?

Thanks

Idea

If you have a friend with a small lathe you could make a bushing and super glue it in place.

Sleeves are available

from NWSL.  They show them on page 5-5 in a number of options.  A-line/Proto power west also show as leave for 2mm to 3/32 which will work with locktite.  The latter has a minimum purchase amount, so NWSL may be the better choice.

So many trains, so little time,

I tried JB weld.

Before Im flamed, it did work.

I blocked the hole with a small wad of paper to protect the plastic universal, then carefully added JB weld into the hole, leaving it mounded up a little over the hole. Let it dry, then chucked it into the unimat and sanded the JB flat to the top of the flywheel. Then carefully drilled a new hole in the JB weld. I did two of these and both worked fine. I used a can motor with athearn flywheels and drive. It ran smooth.

Worth a try. Dont ask how I learned to block the JB from getting on the plastic.
