The designs used for these sets are typical of what is found along my prototype CN and CP lines today. If people have special requests for different designs I will be happy to try and accommodate them.

Joint Bars

Are the joint bars replacements for the regular rail jointers?

Joint Bars replace rail joiners?

Dear ???

No, these do not provide electrical connection or mechanical support, they are purely for aesthetics...

Prof is correct - as usual!

These are merely a detail part, to make your track look more realistic. They cannot be soldered or used to connect actual rail pieces.

Is the canoe wood or aluminum?

Neither! This product is made from resin impregnated kraft paper.

...

If they were all holes and you drilled holes in teh rials, you could indeed use bolt castings to hold the rials together...

But it would be a very tedious job!  And you'd want a feeder on every rail!

sadly...

I don't think this material is strong enough to hold the rails Benny

I think I'll settle for "looks pretty".

matching bolts

Dear Graeme, If you are in HO, a Tichy 44 gallon drum and one packet of Grandt Line NBWs (without the base sprues cut off each NBW) should get you away... (you may wish to pack the bottom of the drum with some scrap styrene or stripwood, even a HO 44 drum of GL NBWs could get $$...) Alternatively, and assuming you're doing a drum of the bolts-only, lengths of thin weathered wire sticking out of the top of the drum could also work... Happy Modelling, Aim to Improve, Prof Klyzlr
