I wanted to include a Yard office on this portion of my layout and looked a few online and then I remembered that the wife had scored me a box of what I think is some older Marklin structures on Craigs List.

So I pulled the box out of the closet and found what I think would make a neat office. Although it is a little more modern than some of the other structures I plan on using, I figure it could be a stage of the layout that has gone through a little modernization and show some progress.

The buildings roof had come detached and it's missing a window on the rear portion. I found a window frame from another peice in the box of goodies I think will work after reworking it a bit.

A few Pics below and the last one is a test fit of where it's going.

Atlas Signal tower

It looks good. I am certain that is the Atlas Signal tower. I have one I got when I was 13.

37 something years later, various damage but it is still on my layout.

Atlas Signal tower

It is  an Atlas signal tower. The smaller building in the background is an Atlas elevated crossing shack.  Joe

Kit still available

I'm wondering if they sell parts for it?

Found it on eBay for $7.

Some new parts, but not from Atlas

VectorCut (the company that has offered HO hamburgers and donuts) has offered a laser-cut kit of parts to modify the Atlas signal tower into something more distinctive.

You can see it at  http://vectorcut.com/RR.htm, about half to two thirds of the way down the page. It's shown as sold-out now, but I'd imagine that if there were enough demand, they'd run it again.

Version 2 of their kit for Atlas signal tower is out
