Last night before our operating session, I was able to schedule an appointment at the Steam Shack, of Rutland Vermont. He "specializes" in local roads, and had one thing in particular that I wanted - painted, but non-numbered P2K GP-9s.

No comments on the bad lighting! I took these quick as I ran out the door.

/>

He has a ton more stuff, but I need to wait until the hobby fund supply gets a bailout. For the moment, I now need to add them to my conversion queue, and try and figure out how to install sound.

I'll probably end up going the <a href=Litchfield station route as shown here.

From what I have read and

From what I have read and seen for myself SoundTraxx Tsuami- TSU AT 1000- has the best sound quality for the GP series. I have SoundTraxx in my Three K27's and the sound is fantastic. They are steam but I had checked out a number of Diesel Engines before deciding on Narrow Gauge. The Two dozen or so Diesels Engines I did try or should I say had Demonstrated for me at a number of hobby shops with an assortment Diesel Engines and different types of sound boards the Tsuami sounded the best. If I were you I would find a hobby shop or a few that have an assortment of engines with sound cards in them and listen for yourself jusk ask them to Demo the engines.

Another

I got into the hallowed sanctum that is the Steam Shack again, and picked up a third GP9.

Additionally, I spotted a set of C-Liners, this is an important acquisition, as these were the most common head end power for the Manifest freights along the Central Vermont Mainline during that era - and this is a hard model to find!

These are lifelike 1k models, so they too will need DCC conversion and some new couplers.
