I do not know whether it's a problem with the not yet released IE11 or the coding of the MRH website but the features of the editor don't work correctly. I have the pre release version installed on one PC (this one) and the editor constantly drops letters while typing, features like quotes or inserting of images don't work. I just thought to give the MRH team a heads up just in case...

IE 11

Ah, but can it handle the Enter key correctly?  That would be progress!

IE 10

I've run across some of the same problems. The quotation doesn't seem to work right. Once you quote you can't seem to get out of the quote unless you right a second line and then go back, high light the line and then quote. Then you can get back out of the quote. Spell checker also acts up at times with little balloons opening up pointing to some web site. Haven't seen that in a while.

Click the Source button. Start a new line below < /blockquote> . Return to WYSIWYG editor.

That's probably more an issue with the editor that MRH is using in Drupal.  Firefox does the same thing with quotes.  I've learned to hit the Enter button and then go back to the first line to insert the quote.

As for other features not working, there's always the Compatibility option within the address bar (at least in IE10).  Looks like a piece of paper with a tear in the middle.  Try that.

Compatibility Mode

I'm running in Capability Mode. Thank you.

Thanks Alan, will try what you suggest.

Bernd, that was meant more for Michael since he appears to be having other issues.

Oh, Ok. No problem. I discovered that one quite by accident one day. Not to many know about this feature.

um....

IE is not a real good browser, I would use it to download Firefox. IE has been having issues with SSL's since IE8 and has had to rely on Compatibility Mode since 8 as well

I agree. The only real useful

I agree. The only real useful function of IE is its ability to download another browser like Firefox or Chrome.

Another "P"ing contest

Lets not get into another "P"ing contest of what's better. I've used IE since I started using MS. All programs have issues.

I use IE because 99 out of 100, it displays everything as the content creators wanted it to be displayed...everythign loads, everything opens, like it should...

I literally don't see ads, no matter how many are there.

Yes, but

Yes, but only 30% of our website visits now come from IE, yet 98% of the help/support issues end up being IE. When people don't tell us which browser they're using and they report a problem, we just assume it's IE and we're almost always right.

Our experience (based on hard data, not just opinion) is that IE is by far the most bug-ridden of the browsers. Moving to a different browser will likely improve your web browsing experience and since browsers are free, why not?

Browser distribution on the MRH site

30% IE

22% Chrome

21% Safari

21% Firefox

4% Android browser

2% Everything else

If everything was equal, 30% of our support issues would be IE, 22% Chrome, etc. Reality is it's very skewed toward IE as the browser with most of the issues.

I suppose it could be IE is used by those who aren't techie and just use whatever comes with their computer, so they need more handholding. But if that were completely true, then there should be more Safari and Android browser issues too since non-techies also use more mobile devices these days. But for the most part, that's not what we're seeing. It's the old desktop IE browser that's the problem magnet.

I've used IE from day one and have had none of the issues so many clamber about...

I have both Firefox and Chrome available, but they all work the same for me - so I stay with IE.  It's guaranteed to be on every computer I use.
