Since I frequently log on and check to see what has been posted in the forum, but I only have a few minutes to read, I find that I sometimes miss some nice things.  Sometimes I'll see that there's a long and involved post which I'd like to devote more time to, other times there's something which I really want to respond to when I have the time.

Is there a way, either now or in the upcoming revamping, for me to leave myself a little note or flag as a reminded that I wanted to go back to a certain thread?  Sometimes the titles are not memorable or descriptive enough to jog my memory, and if there has been no new post on the thread since the last time I read it, it falls further down the list until I'm likely to miss it entirely.

The problem is....

The base program/application of this site feels like Drupal with a forum module added in. Drupal is a Content Management Framework first and foremost. It was never designed to be a blog or a forum, but there are add ons called modules that can make Drupal (maybe Joomla, but feels very Drupalish) operate as a forum. If they really wanted to run a true forum, they would have a different login than the main site. Unless Joe F and company wants to build a new site and run a major migration of posts, don't expect to see many changes to this forum.

It is Drupal

It is Drupal. Look at the page source.

Good idea

I agree that, if possible, this is a very good idea.

Thanks,

Thanks, Joe!

I just installed Pocket as a Firefox add-on, and it looks like it will do exactly what I asked.  I asked for an improvement to the MRH forum, and I got an improvement to my entire online experience!  That's what I call service.

Apple Safari Reading List Reminder (iPad too)

Just a reminder for Apple users: you already have the ability to read webpages offline within Safari. No need to download extra programs like Window users.

Just click on the "reading glasses" icon (show reading list) in the Bookmarks Bar and then click "Add Page" to automatically save the webpage to read offline later.

On the iPad and iPhone (within Safari) you click on the icon that looks like an open book (show bookmarks) and then click on reading list and click the + symbol to add it to your list.

Of course whatever you add will be available on all your devices via iCloud.

Evernote

To expand on the Pocket suggestion - look into Evernote.  You get unlimited storage space, the ability to "bookmark" entire pages like Pocket does, AND the ability to clip and save just portions of a page.  And it's all searchable afterwards.
