I read the whole thread and I felt that no one was touchy. They just made a comment that this was not a model railroad thread. I am sure that they did not meant anything wrong. It is sad that you had a misunderstanding. I hope you will reconsider your choice.

One thing we will do over time is continue to moderate this site to keep it on-topic (mostly). We said the ebay discussion was mildly interesting, but that it had little to do with model railroading - and model railroading is the point of this site.

We could have deleted the thread completely but we didn't. If the poster wants to come post on here something about trains, then post away! This is not a site that just lets you bellyache about whatever is on your mind, however.

if some people are offended by the point of this site, then oh well ...

I don't think so.  I don't think you angered anyone either, certainly not me!

However that being said, your post about the seller you had an issue with seemed a bit touchy too...

I wonder if that person is visiting unrelated online forums as well, warning people not to do business with you?

Now if you choose not to take part in the forum, that is your decision but stating that you will not post here ever again simply because a few people thought your thread inappropriate and a moderator locked it to avoid it becoming a flame fest...well that's a bit silly, IMO.

It's too bad you got off to a bad start here,  There is a great group of guys.

Lets keep in mind that there are three sides to every story, your version, their version, and the truth.

I probably could have left my post to "try contacting ebay to resolve your dispute". I didnt mean to upset anyone. Sometimes a post comes off differently then it was intended.
