The family of Mr. Mouse has

The family of Mr. Mouse has requested royalties for the use of his likeness as well as the crass insensitivity by the publisher to their family's loss.  They have requested restitution in the form of cheese and peanut butter spread around the Greenpoint Dock and Transfer Company!

I hear

I hear the Brotherhood of  Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen has filed a countersuit on behalf of injured crews (and surprisingly the railroad) due to mental anguish caused by the death of Mr. Mouse and the associated damage to the health of the clean up crews. According to BLET council, Mr Iggnozio, " The intentional trespassing on railroad property and subsequent death of Mr Mouse, in conjunction to the health risk posed should not be covered solely by the railroad, which does have signage and is in an industrial area." In a related story, the EPA is filing charges against the Mouse family for disposal costs of contaminated soil, replenishment costs, and water monitoring...

...More news...

An injunction has been filed with the 9th circuit court by the Sierra Club on behalf of the NWF in regards to the ESA and the endangered Reithrodontomys raviventris.  A judge has subsequently approved a temporary cease and desist order against any and all railroad operation in the area.  Operations to be suspended without further notice until a proper impact study can be conducted on the health of the local mice population.

When questioned, a bewildered railroad employee responded, "ENDANGERED???? The blighters are EVERYWHERE!!!"  The employee then pointed out what he described as being clear evidence of current activity: footprints, scat, and fresh teeth marks on the insulation.

Greenpeace activists, however, disagree.  "If they're everywhere, then why can't you point them out for us?  where are they?  Cause we sure as heck don't see any here."  Spokesman for the group further insist that such evidence can be faked.  "We're not interested in smoke and mirrors and shadows.  We want to see real, live tangible evidence that this species is still present within this habitat.  Why can't they give us that much?"

If no live specimen are found and observed frolicking in the area within a reasonable amount of time, the railroad will have to pay into the wildlife reintroduction program fund to reintroduce this native species back into the natural habitat.  Until that reasonable amount of time has passed, all industrial activities must be put on hold.

Can provide security

Rich

Our outdoor cat has been a bad boy and "blessed" us with fuzzy grandchildren.  I can have some of them on the next stock car to Greenpoint is you need some security.  They are doing a good job on our backyard.

Actually, just kidding.  We are enjoying watching them and they are way to fast for this old man to try to catch.

Special Bulletin...

The authorities are asking for the publics help!  The Greenpoint Dock and Transfer Company has been vandalized!

Closed circuit cameras caught this unknown man:icture-3.jpg  in the area at the time when an unknown perpetrator spread peanut butter and cheese on Greenpoint Dock and Transfer Company premises.  Police do not currently believe the man to be suspect in the case but are seeking to question him.

In related news;  R.F. Branch, CEO and founder of the now infamous "Mouse Killing Railroad", has been awarded a stay of execution on an earlier court ruling banning his railroad from operation.  Mr.  Branch provided the court with numerous sworn affidavits from tax payers in the industrial areas bordering railroad property, citing the exuberantly healthy state of the late Mr. Mouse's lineage.
