MRH Magazine general discussion

Layout discipline - want it, don't have it, trying get it.
One man's rantings:
When I first started my layout I seemed to make a great amount of progress in a short amount of time. Now days it seems I'm getting less and less done even though I seem to be working at about the same pace. I took some time the other day to do some self (and layout) examination and I think I came to some conclusions and possible reasons for my situtation.

Sorry if this had already been posted.
Posting my track "how to do it?"
I have "xtracad". I would like to post my track plan for critique. How do I do this so people can look at the plan?
Thank you for your time.

Live posts from the 75th NMRA convention!
Follow us on Facebook for live posts throughout the day from the NMRA convention floor in Milwaukee.
The easy way to do this is to go watch our new MRH Theater video on RSS, and then subscribe to our Facebook RSS feed and set your update frequency to every 15 minutes.
Then you will get near real time posts from us and you don't even need to join Facebook to do it! Very cool.

All Hail Joe Fugate
As a new model railroader I am absorbing information like drinking from a firehose. Last night while browsing the MRH web site I watched the DCC Good, Bad, Ugly movies. I know I am way late to the party but I must say what excellent videos they are for someone like me trying to get my arms around all things model railroad.
Where do I find the Podcast?
Hi all
In MRH there is a note that the podcast will be available from iTunes and as a MP3 download. I want to download the MP3 version but can't seem to locate it. Any assistance?
As always a great read. Mike Rose's article is proof again that an ezine provides so much flexability with regard to article size and scope.

What changed on all the issue 8 comments pages?
All the issue 8 comments pages show updated in red ...
... that's because we created a new user - MRH - to always indicate when the pages are offical Model Railroad Hobbyist pages and we made that change to those pages. That's all that changed - some housekeeping - so no worries.
Now whenever you see MRH as the author, you KNOW it's an official page.

Sponsor changes as of Issue 8

NMRA 75: Who do you want to see - and want us to ask?
As seen in another post, MRH will be present, in strength, at the National Model Railroad Assn's 75th Anniversary Convention and the National Train Show in Milwaukee.
In 2008 we videotaped several interviews in Anaheim.
In 2009 we did it again in Hartford.
I expect we're going to do it again in 2010.
So - which manufacturers would you like to see us interview - and what questions would you like us to ask them?

Who is going to the NMRA National in Milwaukee?
Who here is going to the NMRA National in Milwaukee in a couple weeks?
MRH will be there in force, and we'd love meet you if you're an MRH reader and will be there ... so post on this thread if you're going!
For those who *are not* going, we will be posting daily updates from the convention, as well as posting some "tweets" during the day from the convention floor to Facebook and Twitter.
