What a Good Deal
If you don't already have or didn't take advantage of the MRH video special for 59.95 you missed a fantastic deal. I have only begun to watch the stack of DVDs that arrived and already I am impressed. It is really cool to see Joe's layout in action and how he built it. The videos move at a nice slow pace so you don't have to strain to absorb the information.
MRH on a Kindle
Has anyone placed an issue of MRH on a Kindle? The Kindle DX and the second version of the regular Kindle both support PDF files. I have a Kindle 1 and have used the Amazon conversion routine and Mobipocket Creator to load the first issue to the Kindle, but the results are really not usable. The MobiPocket result doesn't show most of the .jpg files correctly and loses page continutiy. I haven't exhausted all of the options yet, but wondered if someone else has been down this track before me. Thanks.
How to download single MRH magazine article
I would like to download and save a single article from the MRH magazine in the PDF format. Is there a way to do this?

Hi all,
thought I'd share this with you, my MRH friends. Some years back I exchanged some Belgian backprint Harley T-shirts with an overseas biker bro. I thought he was going to send me a T-shirt back. But, he didn't. Infact he knew I was also into modelrailroading and send me some Union-Pacific goodies. I don't know if it was his (I don't recall if he was working for the Union-pacific) or from a relativ. Unfortunately I lost sight of that bro, but maybe sharing this with you is giving him some belated recognition. (thanks)
New Printable Format
Congratulations.
I just bought a Kindle DX to read the PDF format magazines I subscribe to. Was unhappy to discover that the regular version of the magazine that I download to read on my PC would not display. BUt the printable version in monochrome seems to be just fine. Nicely done. You might want to mention that this version has merit beyond just being optimized for printing, though.
Wheel Size for freight cars
Can anyone tell me why there are sets of wheels sold for freight cars in 33" and 36"? Why are there two sizes?
Best way to get in touch with MRH staff??
Hey guys,
I have sent three emails using the contact section on the homepage but have not recieved any type of response. My question pertained to uploading materials to the secre server for article submissions but I have not recieved a response to my query. Is there a better way to contact the staff or is the emails I am sending somehow bouncing. Thank you guys for the great product you produce and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Model Trains Video site hacked
Woke up this morning to find the Model Trains Video web site had been hacked and was offline.
Our ISP said the site was being used as a destination for a Bank of America phishing attack. In other words, some hacker had used our site to host fake Bank of America web pages in an attempt to steal people's banking info.
Great.
To make a long story short, we're now into a total site restore from 3 days ago, and the site won't be back online until Saturday evening.
I was at the Hobby shop and over heard "Model Railroading Just Happens".
Last night there was a midnight sale at one of the hobby shops here in town and. There was a dozen or so in a group talking "O" Scale and one of the guys said Niel Young is half owner of Lionel and another said Model Railroading Just Happens which I thought he couldn't be more right But has anyone else heard anything about Niel Young buying Lionel or is it just Old news I missed out on?
