MRH Magazine general discussion

"Page doesn't exist" error (fixed - joef)
I get a "Page doesn't exist" error using the following path:
Community > MRH Theater > 2011 Amherst Model Train Show Interviews > ExactRail (13:36)
Clicking the video icon DOES work.

Discovered the print format for online reader
I was using the online reader for MRH and accidentally hovered over the icon for the page format. I gave print format and discovered it produced a screen filling large image of the page without the little windows on the bottom which can often get in the way of links and navigation on my smaller laptop. What a great find!
I recommend users give that a try if they use the online reader but, like me, find that the pages is too small and navigation difficult.

Chris

Thanks
I just "stumbled in" to this web site and am pleased to have joined. Very informative and I will be using information from here as I finally put my "paper dream layout" I have been carrying around for 30 years into lumber and trackwork. Yes, I'm a retired person who has been "in the hobby" almost all my life and now have the chance to do more than dream and draw.
Cutting plastic and balsa for kitbashing
Can anyone suggest a good cutting system for repetition and ease of measurement?

I loved the videos for the Feb "extras"
I really enjoyed this months videos. I had been meaning to buy the DVD they came from at some point but never got around to it.
What really struck me about Joe's design was his willingness to step away from the prototype when it benefitted his design to do so. For instance, moving the branch line further toward Coos Bay. I am sorry, I don't remember the specific names.
Monthly mag

Happy MRH advertisers - thanks to our readers
One of our larger sponsoring advertisers came by the MRH booth at the Amherst Show today to tell us how happy he is with his MRH ad performance.
He placed ads in several of the major model railroading magazines, each with unique phone numbers. The MRH ad outperformed them all with the largest number of phone calls by a fair margin!
Kudos to the MRH readers - the more you shop the MRH advertisers first, the brighter our future as a free model railroading publication that's here to stay.
MRH & Train Show
Will reps from MRH be at the West Springfield, MA train show this weekend? This is a huge show.
I just looked through the vendor list and did not see MRH.
Thanks.

Modeling New ERA High power Diesels RR's vs Modeling early ERA To end of Steam Model RR's Which is your Favorite?
Where do your preferences lay and what made you a Model Railroader?
Many new model railroaders never experienced Steam and never were able to witness that plume of Black Smoke and steam barreling up into the morning sky and that long whistle blowing through the Valley as the engineers gave there notice of coming down the line.

Free Fiber Optic Filament
Guys have you clicked on the ad for TheFiberOpticStore.com on page 44 in the January issue?
If not, go do it and get your free roll of fiber optic filament. I've purchased filament from them twice in the past and their service is top shelf, IMO!
