MRH Magazine general discussion

Submitting Articles when you're not a professional photographer
Who knows what the future might bring along. But I like to be prepared (or as many who know me well, over prepare!)

Get it done!
I just read where someone wrote "no one starts as a Pro" and it prompted me to write this posting to encourage the readers to try new things with their model railroad and to explore their "weak areas". I'm by no means an expert in any area; however, taking the first step of just trying to do something is the most important step. We all love to operate in our comfort zone; however, nothing new is generally learned in that zone.

What type of Video Camera is recommended for Video for MRH
As soon as the basement is completely empty, I would like to begin recording keeping a Video Blog of the progress of the Interim P&A Layout, and later on, the Ultimate P&A Layout. I would like to have any video footage I take be potentially used for any future articles I might submit to MRH for publication. Before I invest serious amounts of funds into audio and video equipment, I would like to ask for those who have submited videos that have been published by MRH, what was used.
Short lines
I didn't know where to post this, so here goes. I have recently taken an interest in short line RR. I would like to model one that feeds into a BN main line ( Using My Hl&B RR) (Main Line, BN being my fav RR ). Now I have more room to make more benchwork, and lay more track. I was wondering if anyone had any info on short line RR, maybe some photos are them picking up or dropping off cars at a customer. I think this will help me plan the next track to layout.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Download pics
Hi,
is there a way to download the fantastic pictures of the layouts in the magazine? E. g. the great picture on page 41 of the current issue. I know that I can make a hardcopy but if there would be an "official" way I would prefer that.

Looking for Kit Instructions - John Rendall Scale Models
I just bought a used Branca Line Water Tower Kit (by JR Scale Models) and low an behold the instructions are missing! Does anyone have a copy of these or know where I might be able to find them. I have had no success looking on the internet and would appreciate any help here.
