MRH Magazine general discussion

Dream, Plan Build recent DVD on Eudaly's C& O layout

I just finished watching this item. Yes it's a O Scale layout but it has lots of information one can use in any scale. The modeler even shows hot make rock walls and scale trees. It's interesting that few have commented on this series. So lets hear some comments.

MRH survey results

Earlier this year (I think back in February or March) there was a survey put out by MRH.  It asked a lot of good questions and I was curious about the results.  If they've already been published or posted and I missed it...I apologize.  (Could you direct to a link?)  If they aren't out yet, is there a timeline for their release?

Thanks,
Bill

Current MRH Circulation Numbers?

I was wondering what the current MRH circulation statistics might look like...

locomotive wiring problem

Hey All

I recently wired a NCE D13 SRJ Decoder in a walthers  GP-9M AM Trak  loco,  after hooking the wires up and programing it,  when I push the forward button it would run in reverse and same for reverse it goes forward this is the first installation of a walthers loco. Done some in Athearns and no problem. What is the differance in the way it's hooked up? Any help would be great.

Thanks ,Turkeycall

Arch Bar Trucks

Construction of Arch Bar Trucks:

Most of the straps making up these old truck side frames were held together with bolts, nuts and washers of various types. Some rivets may have been used by some manufacturer, but up close study will show threaded fasteners. Over time, the holes through the side frame pieces would become enlarged thus causing the truck assembly to need maintenance. And the bolts would stretch as they do on modern equipment, adding to the problem.

I really enjoy this ezine.
