MRH Magazine general discussion
Reverse Running
Dear Joe
In reading Reverse Running is it possible that "I have Space but can't come up with a track plan" has to do with I don't have a theme, or time line?

Smartphone stories?
Anybody out there using a smartphone (iPhone or Android phone) to read MRH or to visit the web site regularly?
If so, whip some stories on us ... we'd like to hear about it.

LED Light bulb - did I lose my mind?
Many of you have followed my thread about CFL failure entitled "CFLs- Bold Face Lies!

Your wonderful free magazine that I read with elation every month!
Thank you for your free magazine every month. I appreciate the well-written articles. Thinking about the recent article from Lance Mindheim makes my appreciate your magazine more than some others that are printed on paper. You dedicated 10+ pages to his excellent article that I can actually use. I also appreciate that I am not an outsider because I like to simply run trains and do some switching rather than operate like a "real" railroad. Thank you.

February issue is out!!!

E-reader question
I have been reading on a Windows PC since day one. I have now entered the modern day with a Kindle Fire for Christmas. It is great and I recommend it or another E-reader /Web reader to anyone. my problem is I would like to place some of the back issues on the Kindle Fire to read as I travel. Suggestions? Can I just email a version to myself and open it on the Fire?

Use of English
Hi, First, congratulations on a great on-line magazine! And I hope readers really *do* click on your advertizers on a regular basis and then BUY from them!
I have a small quibble, though, with the occasional slip in English usage. One of my pet peeves is the use of "its" and "it's" and I've noticed a few occasions when they've been used incorrectly. This is the exception to the possessive apostrophe s rule: "its" is the possessive (belongs to) while "it's" is the contraction for "it is."

Article wish list?
One of the great things about MRH, and one of the things that makes it so different from any other model railroad publication, is the way that the editors, authors, and readers can communicate with each other nearly in real time. I was just wondering if that could be extended to include some form of article wish list.

Nothing new under the sun
Reading the thread about my Athearn and Bachmann F units, it occurred to me that it would be nice if somebody wrote an article about taking one of them and really fixing it up right. Fix everything that can be fixed, clean it up, super detail it, the works. But then I said to myself that surely somebody has already written that article. Probably multiple times. The Athearn model (and its Globe predecessor) has been around over half a century now, right?
