MRH Magazine general discussion

Seattle 2012
Is there a chance MRH will cover the Seattle 2012 National Narrow Gauge Convention in September?
Looks like there will be lots of great layouts available for viewing.

MRH on an iPad just got cheaper ... $399
Apple just announced their new iPad3 - but they're still selling an entry-level iPad2 now for $399.
Plus I wouldn't be surprised to see iPads on eBay for even less.

Traction Modeling
It's a lot easier to make suggestions about what you ought to be doing than it is to step up and do it. I've just come back to HO modeling with retirement and find myself interested in things that I passed over 30 years ago. I'd really like to see some articles on model streetcar layouts.

MRH - March 2012
Nice job on the March 2012 issue guys! I especially liked Charlie's article on peninsula benchwork - the timing was excellent, as I'm in the process of figuring out the configuration for my own staging scheme.
I'm usually not so observant to spot mistakes, but I did note that in the MRP 2012 article that Joe Brugger mentions newcomer "Jim" Dance, whose name should be "Mark" Dance.
FWIW.
Cheers!

Here are the official release dates for the March 2012 issue of MRH:

Looking for suggestion for Specs for IPAD to read MRH
I have never really had any interest in any tablet devices, however, with the up coming IPAD3 expected to be released soon I would think the 1st Generation of IPAD's should be going real cheap, So my question is what are the recommended specs so I can enjoy reading the full embed version of MRH Magazine while not wasting money on bells and whistles I don't really need.
I don't want something that crawls along while reading, but I don't need it at "warp speed" either. Any suggestions?!

April MRH sneak peek ...
Just posted a sneak peek of the April issue of MRH on our Facebook page ... check it out.
Adding a link to MRH on my facebook wall
I remember this has been discussed before, but I am still somewhat computer challenged and can't find it. I don't go to facebook much and just added MRH as a friend.
I was thinking I could add a link and a MRH banner to my facebook page, but don't know how to do it. I remember once on one of the forum posts someone showed how to copy one of the MRH banners and where they are found, but I can't find them now.
HELP
Depression Pricing
I put on my yearly Model Railroad show this weekend. I guess my question is why would you pay too much for something and then try to sell it for more? I noticed used tyco cars that were NOT collectible with 4,5,& 6 dollars on them? Just because Athearn has assembled cars for $12 in a box does not mean you are going to get 8 to 10 dollars for a run of the mill Athearn blue box car. Kadee couplers and metal wheels also does not mean you are going to get 8 to 10 dollars for that car.
