UP 844 is heading towards New Mexico and Arizona to celebrate the statehood centennial for both states.

Here's a detailed schedule for the trip. 844 will also be heading to Southern California and will be heading back to Cheyenne via Cajon Pass. I-15, which is a traveling parking lot normally will morph into a real parking lot when 844 goes through.

and, to crown their disgraceful proceedings and add insult to injury, they threw me over the Niagara Falls, and I got wet.

Thanks, Mike

Bloomington is just up the road about 40 miles. I am going to try getting there on 18 Nov.

(I'm Curious - why the username Andre?)

Update - Never mind, Mike - "Google/Wikipedia is your friend" - I see it now.

New update - 9 November - So, is anybody going to Bloomington ? About 10 miles east of I-15 and just on the south side of I-10.

I presume it will be somewhere in the yard. Not sure of the exact route - I'm thinking Slover Ave and Riverside Ave.

Well, I'll be missing this

Update again - 17 Nov. - wanted to be there, but need to take my prime mover (rubber wheeled "buggy") in for repair on oil leak - so won't make the trip. I hope someone else in the East L.A., Inland Empire or Orange County might enjoy the trip and sight.

I'm getting over it ...

Well, I missed the opportunity, but I will survive, thanks to railpictures.net - many SoCal resident photographers took the opportunity to get some great shots (others in other locales also operated their shutters). The UP web site for this excursion has some good pictures and video as well.

To see some of the latest of this beast, visit railpictures.net:

Included in some of the most recent is the excursion train on the famous Sullivan's curve through Cajon Pass as the train heads back home.
