LVTrainMan

To all readers-

I am new to the site but have been in model railroading since 1956 at the formative age of 10 years old. My uncle and dad got me started, initially with Lionel O Guage, then transitioning to HO scale and remaining in that scale until I recently got out of the hobby due to health and eyesight reasons. I recently gave all my collection of model railroading rolling stock, locomotives, structures (both built and kit form), tools, track, turnouts and accessories to my niece's husband. He has a web site ( http://www.railroadredux.com) that is worth taking a look at. It connects with his home club in San Leandro, CA, but it shows what a relative newcomer to the hobby can do with some guidance and patience.

Thanks for reading my post,

Gary

Welcome aboard, Gary. I have

Welcome aboard, Gary. I have found this site to be fabulous. I came across it last year about this time. It has re-kindled my activity in the hobby. I hope you are able to enjoy your niece's husband's efforts in the hobby. Be sure he is aware of this site and the great ezine. Be sure to download (or at least view on-line) all the past 15 issues. They are "eye openers".

I am sure some of the staff will soon welcome you through your post here. There is an NMRA affair in Sacramento this coming week. It will be a spectacular event. Look it up: NMRA X2011. The MRH staff is busily preparing for their participation. The July issue of the ezine will be available in two or three days, so look for it's arrival on this site.
