Im attempting to model a set of Burlington Northern F units, and from the prototype pictures, there is a strobe beacon attached to the cab roof. Can anyone point me in the direction of a detail parts manufacturer who offers this item?

Thank you for your help.

Beacon

In HO, I think Details West part RB-106 is the flat-topped beacon fairly commonly used, while RB-126 is the domed-top seen in earlier years..

There are quite a few 'detail parts' to select from, if you're trying for an exact match, it's probably out there. Google is your friend (as is the Walthers Catalog).

Do You Want An Operating Strobe?

Do you want an operating strobe? If so, Rapido now offers a working one and have it listed on their website. Otter Valley Trains has of video of it up on the Facebook page. In addition, East Coast Circuits have made custom ones. They have a video of one in operation on a Jordan Spreader on their Facebook page as well.
