Hello all,

Got a DCC ready Scaletrains ES44 a little while back and just installed Loksound V5 in it. Works like a charm with one exception. The locomotive actually starts moving at speed step 2, not 1 like it should. I have a Scaletrains ET44 that had DCC factory installed, it starts to crawl at speed step 1 like it should. I know this is just a CV tweak but need advice on which CV to change and what to change it to. Thanks in advance!

Does it run smoothly otherwise?

And is it close-enough speed-matched over the rest of the speed range to the older lcoo?  if so, then increasing CV2 (starting Voltage) from whatever it is set to now should do the trick. I would add 1 to the current CV2 setting and test, add another 1 if needed until you get it where you want.

But if the loco doesn't run smoothly otherwise, and isn't well matched to the older one, come back here for more help!

Yep

Yes, it runs very smoothly and works well with the other engine. I'll change the CV tomorrow. Thanks!
