Nate

I played around a bit tonight and I think I am pretty close to what the final plan will be. I think at this point I just need to mock up the structures and sit them and the track out on the modules to get everything finalized.

Original plan with lost of nice scenery etc added:

The coal dealer will be in the bottom left now and hopefully will become a coal and fuel dealer with a tank car spot just off the turnout. I'll have to see how it works out. The lumberyard moves to the upper right. There is now 2' past the upper left turnout, which should leave space for a steam engine and a car or two to get up there. With the staging extension on the lower right, there is plenty of space there as well.

Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions!

Thanks!

Track plan update

Elegant solution. I presume 18" x 6' in HO? Makes a nice end of branch terminal, until you get more space to the right.

Thanks

It is actually 18" x 8'. Two 4' modules and the split works perfectly to avoid any turnouts. The plan is to work just as you said, end of the branch for now. Eventually it will end up somewhere in the middle of the branch space permitting lol

One Last Revision

With what should be my final revision before mocking up buildings and playing around for real on the modules I have made the track to the coal (and oil?) dealer flow much nicer than it did before.

I also sketched a very quick mock up of kind of how I hope it looks once  built.

Don't judge the sketch too much, it was done quickly while I had some down time at work lol  6_120024.jpg
