It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em.  There were a few late-comers in last week's post.  Check them out, then come back here afterward.

Great work as usual

Nice job all,  the B&W is neat and looks very period correct.   Greg your mini scenes are always fun. Thats a classic.  Tony, I love the shot, that is great. I hope you can tutor me to pull that off also.  The Enterprise coming in to land is a great touch!!! Love it.

Here is mine for the week.  An MTH dash 9 I picked up cheap. I always love the CNW paint scheme on that body style.    First a couple proto shots I found online:

Here is my attempt.  Not quite done and not without its flaws but it was a fun project for a few days.

Affinity photo is fun

Here's a sky replacement I did. I think it would look pretty good if the hotel signage was finished...

Very nice scene

That scene looks great, Michael.  And I love that sky added in.

Steve, that C44-9W is a masterpiece. Really exceptional.

I finally got the first piece of the old layout up in its new home last week, putting Atlantic yard up on shelf brackets.

Thanks Joe

Glad to see you are back in the saddle and the layout is coming to life.  I’ve been reading your thread and surprised how quick you got started.  Can’t wait to see more!

Michael, that’s a cool shot   The sky replacement feature is why I bought affinity. Now I just need to get at it and learn how

Michael, Dave, and Ray; great scenes.

Michael and Steve, thanks very much for your encouragement. It feels like this is taking forever, but I think that’s just the frustration of not having a layout to operate on.

Steve' MTS

Hey Steve, I'm confused...  I realize I don't have the best eyesight these days, but what flaws am I missing?  That Dash 9 sure looks spectacular to me.... In fact I think it is a perfect  replica of the genuine article'...

thanks Goober

Glad you gave it the thumbs up.  Maybe I'm too picky. HAHAHA    Thanks for checking it out.

Bob, those plates look great on there.  They look closer to scale than many I have seen.  Maybe because they are etched not cast.

More leased power on the Santa Fe

Here are another couple of locos I just can not part with. I bought these back in 2004 when I was modelling the San Francisco East Bay area. But, I am now modelling Southern California, I guess they will just have to be more leased locos due to a power shortage on the Santa Fe? (Stewart FTs - powered A and dummyb).

"Old" shots...

Another busy summer (1943) day at 'B' Company, 796th Railway Operating Battalion's HQ as ET&WNC #11 rolls past with a train of loaded hoppers bound for Johnson City. The Ensor boys are correctly placed to watch the engine crew water up the ten-wheeler and listen to the soldiers curse as the train blocks the only way in and out of their motor pool area on a day when the Battalion Commander decided to show up for a surprise inspection

sing-01.jpeg

Earlier, 11 brings the train past the sweeping curve at the Ensor farm at Sadie, Tennessee. The crew knows better than to swipe an ear of corn without permission from Mrs. Ensor. The lucky ones she has caught doing do have been on the receiving end of her broom. The unlucky ones have seen her double-barrel 12 gauge (which was used in previous years to ward off 'revenooers') in action!

farm-01.jpeg

Okay, in real life these are shots I took for the 2021 NMRA Calendar (along with two others), run through some film grain filters for use here. I as I don't have an "MMR" at the end of my name, I doubt the color versions will get used...
