This small depot nestled in the Rockies of Montana along the Great Northern transcontinental mainline is in its last days. CTC aid being installed and the need for Train Orders will soon be obsolete.

Looks Great!

What's the story on the name "False Summit"?

Very Nice

Great job.  I really like the exterior weathering and the interior details.

Thanks!

Andre- This was an actual station name between Bison and Summit on Marias Pass on the GN. Not sure there was ever an actual depot there, but I liked the name.

Lou- Thanks, I real unlike making interiors.

Gotcha!

Thanks for the explanation, Greg.

I've "run" trains through that region several times "virtually" in V scale via Microsoft's "Train Simulator"... but of course, the era MS chose to model was modern, so there's no such station/siding that existed in their V scale version.

"False Summit" must have been a sag that could mislead new engineer's into thinking they had their climb licked, thus they'd notch off a bit... only to lose momentum for the remaining grade!

Thanks!

Thank you Ken and DEW!!

Andre- Your description of the area is pretty much what I found, a slight sag in the area gives the feeling that this is the top and someone not familiar with the territory could be in for a surprise when their train stalls out.
