Kinky Sharyo Passenger Car made by CNCF for Mexican Railways

After 9 years of work I can finally see finished the Kinky Sharyos that Metlac Models produced at the time. There is much that I could write about this story, but I will begin by thanking and acknowledging the effort that Gabriel González and Sergio Escobar made at the time, for producing the cars in their initial version and from which I took on the task of looking for parts , pieces, components by recording photos and videos. Some pieces I was able to buy with friends who lived in Japan, others I had to do with the help of machines and tools such as the frame and others helped me with friends like David Morales, who with knowledge of photo etching parts made certain unique.

Although I could not reproduce all the parts of the frame, I think the result was quite close to the real model. Finally, the great hand, detail, search for photos, colors, assembly of pieces, painting, decoration and choice of final parts made by Omar Vázquez culminated the work of all these years of waiting.

Hope you enjoy the photos, some in their creation stage and the final ones.

Nice modeling indeed and interesting scenery technique

Beautiful modeling of a prototype I don’t know but will look into.

How did you make the “rockfall” at either end of your fill?  If you just popped out bits of foam with a knife point, you have an uncommonly good eye!

In the details

Really nice job on the details on each unit above and below.

Will be looking for more on your stock and layout.

November is National Model Railroad Month,  got to get back to the work bench and create!
