If you are looking for information/sources/photographs of hard to find large scale figures become a follower of my blog. I have posted many photographs about fairly obscure sources for 1:20 through 1:24 scale figures. I have never seen many of these figures in any list prepared for model  railroaders. http://oahusugarcanefn3.blogspot.com/

Of course, if you are interested in modeling sugar cane railroads, my blog, as the name implies, has a great deal of information on that topic as well. I model in Fn3 and have been published extensively in Narrow Gauge Downunder

Another interest of mine featured on this blog is exhibition layouts.

Enjoy

Nice!

Now with full size 3D scans the choices are really expanding.

It also looks like we share an interest in the Oahu Railway!

AndIan from Australia

Hi Nicholas, all

Have you seen the range of 3D-printed figures from AndIan Models in Australia?

Check out the following photos that show some of the large scale figures in the background, as displayed at the 2019 Australian Narrow Gauge Convention. All I know is that all the large scale models they had brought along had all been sold by the end of the 2-day convention.

Given that most of these models are aimed at the Australian market and are designed to fit Australian locomotives, for a more "US look" check out the 1/48 scale models for inspiration of what may be possible..

While the 1:24 scale figures are not shown on the website, my understanding is that they are available as a "special order".  Contact AndIan Models direct for pricing and availability details.

As I have said previously on here, recent extreme currency fluctuations in the value of the $A versus $US and most other major currencies, now mean that this is the probably best time for overseas clients to buy from Australia than in the last 10 years.

I've used a couple of the O scale AndIan models on some of my locomotives and elsewhere on "Corrimal". The print quality is "better than good" to "exceptional", with almost zero cleanup being required after the supporting structure is removed.

John Garaty

Thanks

I visited their web site and did not see any large scale. I am sure you are right that they brought some to the show.
