What's your piece secured to?  Looks like a genius idea to get straight cuts.

It's a Northwest Shortline

It's a Northwest Shortline Duplicutter. The cut came out like this (a little bit slanted; I think I didn't manage to get the saw quite straight along the fence, but not enough to notice):

Miter

Sometimes I have turned the piece over and then used a straight edge and a hobby knife to score a cut line on the outside face of the wall, that way the cut falls along the brick lines then go back and use a saw to cut all the ay through.
