Great pics Bill!

I put the finishing touches on my first ballast hopper yesterday, IAIS (ex-Santa Fe) 9719, using a Kadee PS-2 covered hopper as a starting point.  It was an enjoyable kitbash, and the prototype had weathering that was fun to try to recreate.  If interested, more pics and details of the build are at https://forum.mrhmag.com/post/iaiss-west-end-iais-9719-exatsf-ballast-hopper-kitbash-12213952 .

Ammendorf wagons

Just finished a set of three TTe wagons.

East German made for the use on Russian narrow gauge lines. The workshop and steam generator set used for getting power in remote locations. The passenger freight car is just that, a wagon used for dual purposes on the developing narrow gauge network.

The chimneys and vents are my first attempt at 3D printing.

Now I have to research how they would fasten straps to the flat car. I've seen images of a caboose on blocks like this with straps over the caboose, but can't see how they are anchored to the deck.

I found this neat scene on a Ken Anderson module this weekend at Raleigh, NC. Yes, that is dual gauge track!

Love the other images so far this week!

Steve, thanks for the kind words about my ballast car.  Love your weathering on that GE!  It really lived up to its "toaster" nickname.

Kevin, great work on that Cadillac.  I've always liked the looks of those.  Did you do the kitbash?  I've never studied the SP's rebuild programs in much detail.  Is that bulge on the roof behind the cab SP's version of a paper air filter, like the ox yoke type that the IC/ICG's Paducah shops added?

Steve B., really nice work on those scratchbuilds!

Went to visit Eastern Loggers layout on the last viewing near home.  Grabbed a few more pictures and shared a few old stories.

Tracy City branch action

Lots of nice photos this week. I piloted a local on a metro-Nashville layout the other day. This is the Tracy City branch of the NC&StL.

Doubleheader

The negatives were marked for July 1943 in the old, dusty box. Sid Richardson, photographer/artist for the Elizabethton Star, was taking shots of the ET&WNC Stoney Creek branch, a rare doubleheader passing through Winner, Tennessee. Exact date is unknown:
