I haven't done much on the layout since the last update. The first module is still approximately 80% complete. I moved at the end of April but haven't started setting anything up yet. My new layout room is a very different shape from the rectangle I used to have, so I drew up a new plan in AutoCAD. Hoping to get the first module moved from my dad's house and start on more modules working westward this winter.

I had to leave access to the HVAC room, although I may be able to run the staging yard on a very narrow shelf (~6" wide or so) along the lower right wall and not get in the way of the door. Would allow me to extend the run a bit and get the turnout off the liftgate - that will just depend on space negotiations with my fiance. I really only need two tracks for staging since this is pretty much just an out and back operation with the occasional work extra.

I've also worked on a couple locomotives lately - not exactly in my main year (1987) but I figured I could run some more modern operating sessions on occasion. These just need a bit of weathering on the trucks and fuel tank and I'll be willing to call them complete. 4641 is an Athearn model with a Kaslo cab and 3623 is an Atlas C30-7 with modifications to represent the BCOL C36-8Ms. The picture of 3623 is a bit old, I've since added the handrails, headlight lenses, and some weathering.

Unfortunately that's all I've got as far as updates for now. Hopefully I'll have more substantial updates soon.
