   It was posted yesterday at numerous hobby sites that Ron passed away suddenly. Ron was owner of Des Plaines Hobbies . He was one of the good guys we come across in this hobby and will be greatly missed. Condolences to the Sebastian family....DaveB

He always had a smile at conventions and events

He attended the recent O and S scale show in Indianapolis and was his usual friendly self. Really one of the guys who helped this hobby be fun.

A significant loss

Ron will be sorely missed. He was a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic font of knowledge and an alumnus of All Nation Hobby in downtown Chicago.

In addition to owning and running Des Plaines Hobbies, Ron owned and ran Centralia Car Shops and S Scale America.

I always looked forward to chatting with Ron when I was in town.

Great shop, sad to see him pass

Was fortunate enough to visit Des Plaines while doing a training course from Mitsubishi in nearby Addison. That's a fun trip on METRA from station-to-station. Sorry to see Ron pass away, hopefully this little gem survives. Many thanks for all he put into the hobby and my condolences as well to the family.
