Progression

It’s neat to see the progression from raw hole to a nice looking creek.

Thanks guys

My go to water modeling material is always Envirotex two part epoxy. I've used it so much that I've gotten very comfortable with it. It's great for still placid water but I probably should and will go back with some gloss medium and add a little movement to the creek. I keep looking at casting plastic as I understand you can ripple it by cranking up heat on it with a spotlight as it sets. I've just never gotten the nerve to try it and it's about twice what the epoxy cost too. I also understand the smell can be objectionable and I'm in a small house so I have to take my family into account.

Niner Creek

Very nice work Michael, and a neat way to keep Verne's memory alive.  I still miss his participation here.

Nice!

Michael,

Nice scene with the creek meandering under the steel tower - looks very real!

I used to enjoy reading and viewing Verne's posts over on Railroad Line forum.  Quite the accomplished modeler!

I never met Verne face to

I never met Verne face to face and I only knew him a short time but we had some correspondence back and forth while doing the column. It was a very positive experience for me and has affected my approach to and also the way I look at the hobby ever since. Every one of the original "Gang of Six" plus Joe, Patty and the rest of the MRH staff I interact with are fine people. My model railroading heroes and my family are honored in the name of  every place on my pike so I just thought it apropos to tip my cap to all the guys too. I really appreciate all the kind comments folks!
