Oh great, it's wednesday before Thanksgiving and I thought it was time to wish everyone here on the MRH website to:

Have a happy and wonderful holiday weekend.

Black Friday is the day after but I really can't undertsand what all teh hoopla is all about. Sure stores here in New York are going to open early. Kohl's for example is opening at 3 AM and Radio Shck is going to be open at 5:30 AM. But I really wonder whether its worth it at this time when the economy is stil in the doldrums and people are still losing their jobs at a record pace. But we'll see what happens this weekend. For now maybe it's best to take Bobby Brown's advice

to not worry and just be happy.

Love that Black Friday Sale Day

I would say yes it is worth all the hoop la. Last Black friday I was at one of the largest  Electronics chain stores at 2:30 A.M. and first in line when they opened at 4:30A.M.  They were selling 4 of the high end brand name 55 inch LCD 1080P 120Hz HDTV Flat screan TV's for $250.00 each regular price $1695.00 and I got one! This year I'm going up north to a very large Model Railroad Hobby store offering all the Narrow gauge Cars and engines an a lot of other (all scales actually) stuff for from 20% - 75% off and I'm buying everything I can get my hands on in HO.

Since the store is 126 miles north from my house I'll be leaving as soon as I finish stuffing my face with turkey and pumpkin pie I'll be heading there to spend the night in a sleeping bag leaning against their front door. They open at 5:30A.M.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all !

At least the sentiment was nice.......

Not sure what "Black Friday" sales have to do with MRH or model railroading, but OK........

By the way, Bobby McFerrin and NOT Bobby Brown (the ex-husband of Whitney Houston) who is the musician who did "Don't Worry, Be Happy" back in 1988.

Good wishes to all,

RAH

Our turkeys are still safe untill Christmass....as we don't do thanksgiving overhere and I realy don't think my systhem would manage stuffed turkey,  twice in a month laps time.

But they're both Bobbys

At least I got the first name right. Thanks for the correction Ralph. My first laptop was a Toshiba and it had a Bobby McFerrin video of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" that used to come on as the screen saver. That lap top is long gone as the screen was LCD that got broken when my oldest grand daughter decided it might make a good thing to step on. Of course that must have been 10 years ago when she was 2 or 3.
