Lancaster Central RR

I installed the new backdrop for the Lancaster city side of the layout.

Lancaster Central #17 is headed south

my BLI consolidations barely squeeze under the openings

a bump in the main track in currently forcing all traffic onto the passing track.

Bump?

I wonder if the NMRA clearance gauge is intended for all eras. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a 3D printed gage that the metal one could slip into for the “Classic” or “Modern” eras? Here is the same image scales to fit.

Gauge adaptors

Dear Neil, There is such a "slip over" gauge adaptor for On30 (adapts the HO SG gauge), and IIRC there are similar adaptors for "modern HO SG" Dbl-stacks and similar... (still wouldn't be tall enough to handle my current project though, Barnhart Model 10 log loader riding on Tichy flatcar... ) Happy modelling, Aim to Improve, Prof Klyzlr

I forgot my dimensions were from my Nscale days

oops. If I hadn’t added an extra 1/2” it wouldn’t have worked. I was half asleep and remembered I used the 2” height previously. In modern Nscale. Now I have to decide if it’s worth sawing the openings bigger since almost everything clears. There is one locomotive that won’t but it isn’t a key part of my operation anyway.
