Nice Alco Switcher

Like the Alco switcher, Len.  Did it come with the LokSound decoder?  If so, how does it sound?

LokSound...

Yes, its a LokSound. Been rebuilding the layout so haven't run it a lot or played around with the options and tweaks. What little I've run it though I'm happy with the sound and performance.

And sometimes...

Hi all,

And sometimes when you are testing you get unexpected results - As seen by a couple of cockatoos startled by the racket when a shove move went wrong.

1280880a.jpg

There's no room for Deem's big hook in here even if the 30 lb/yd rails could take it (and they wouldn't)

It's going to be a late knock-off today - It's muscle power only to sort this pile-up.

As seen by the first of the crew coming from the mine. There's no way through here

1280882a.jpg

Just as well these skips are built tough. Looks like nothing is too badly bent.

Go grab that long pinch bar from the loco, We'll start on that one over there..

We'll have this lot back on by the time those pit ponies get here from the mine. We might still make it to the pub before it shuts. I could really use a beer after sorting this mess.

Model wreck

I’ll bet very similar scenes played out on the prototype John!  Nicely “modelled” wreck.

Nice scene and excellent photos. For a while I scanned the first photo for the cockatoos without success. After reading the caption more carefully I realized that it was the cockatoos that had the camera.

When I have given cameras to birds around here it was all selfies and photos of bugs on the ground. I got a few interesting pictures from buzzards but they are a nasty bunch to work with so I gave up on nature photography entirely.

The Old Depot

A Milwaukee Road H10-44 passes the abandoned depot in East LaSalle on the North American Prototype Modelers model railroad club HO scale layout in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Walthers locomotive model belongs to Alex Sansone. The depot and scenery was modeled by David Karkoski. Photo by Mark Mathu using an iPhone 8 Plus and Helicon Focus focus stacking software.
