In my forever quest to create a operational layout, i have again dismantled half of the second level and one third of the lower level. I was having too many faults with the #2 Helix. so i removed it and have decided to make the first level west side a loop back ?? reverse loop ?..  .. while making the second level a full wrap around. I am wanting to keep to a prototypical design based around Central Indiana where i lived, and in the era of the late 60's to early 80's . this was an exciting time for me i saw the last  of the Monon, merged with the L&N, to then continue on to merge with the family lines, and eventually CSX. The Industries in this area from what i could remember was mainly Stone, Grain , some coal, and general freight, i also recall there being passenger service from Am Track. The rail line ran from Louisville, Ky to Orleans ,In  then north and then west to Orleans. from there it went North to the Stone quarries of Bedford, and then into the Mcdoel Yard in Bloomington. Heading out of Bloomington heading in a north west direction there were there were more Quarries, around bloomington and Ellettsville. (where i lived) . heading more north into the flatter areas of the state there were the farmlands which i would think had some grain elevators then the final stop Michigan city. on the Lake.  I know there are almost unlimited resources of info and advice here, and i am open to any and all from layout design to bench work from y'all.I definitely have the attitude

of if i can dream it, then  see it, i can do it.... but it may take some time..

I am currently  using the trial version of Any Rail 6 design system. I have the Cad rail software but it is not operating on my laptop . here is my latest plan .02019(1).jpg

Hello Fellow Modelers, here

Hello Fellow Modelers, here is the latest update on my layout. I am using the AnyRail trial version 6   this is the lower level where the yard and engine facility will be with a few storage tracks for switching  the TBD area is what use to be Helix #2 . but will now be a reverse loop around , maybe this are will be farm land scenery or suburb rural.up the  helix  to the upper level  will be a continual track with a turn off point to access the helix . The second Pic is the foot print for the bench work. The cross over area i plan on making a replica of the Tulip Viaduct located in Green County Indiana, near solvesberry and Bloomfield. I am proud to say my Great Grandfather worked on that bridge when it was built in 1904.  Thanks for looking .
