Thank you!

That was well worth the time it takes to watch. In fact I am going to watch it again to absorb as much as possible. Your layout is a total joy to immerse myself in. Realistic, natural and beautiful in a way that does "take me there".

beautiful place

Thanks for the video. I had to do an end around to see it. Link would not let me in. Been to Cobleskill, Middleburg, Gilboa. I have relatives in that area. Your modeling sure does give a sense of that place. I am looking forward to reading your article when the new MRP comes in January 2019. Also enjoyed your other videos. Please keep sharing and enyoing this great hobby.

Fantastic Work

Being from the rural midwest, the images you have created are great and remind me of the small rural towns here. That is except for the hills.

I think you have done a tremendous job of capturing the spirit and essence of the rural areas and your detail work is wonderful.

Great job,  thanks for sharing the video here.

Well said, Mac.  I'm in Iowa, and I had the same feeling while watching that beautiful video.

Moving

I grew up in western PA. My Grandfather, some of his brothers, and my Great grandfather were all railroaders, many on the Pittsburg & Shawmut at one time or another. The scenes are very reminiscent of the area I grew up in. This video takes my thoughts back to some of the "old timers" I knew when I was a kid.

You have a wonderful railroad and I love the way that you tell a story with it.

Very well done!

Beautiful layout and very well done video.  You are not only a great photographer and model railroader, but also a great story teller.  Thanks for sharing!

Story telling

Thanks Ken. I love the stories that you create based on people and places you’ve been. My own trips back home to the Pacific Northwest bring back memories of a simpler and quiet time despite the growth.

I shared this with a few others who are not model rails and they found the loco engine volume out of proportion to the rest of the quiet, and introspective, feel of the video. It still captured their interest since few of these folks ever considered our toys as representative of real life before.

The aspect of model railroads as art seems to be a common thread this year. Your models certainly are great examples of that!

place

Put me in my place.  I need to rethink alot of visual perspectives for 'local scenes'

Simple..

But outstanding !

Harmony and ...peace. It all comes together on this fine example of 'master' model railroading. A piece of art with tracks from nowhere to eternity... to 'meditate' on. Thanks for sharing these 'stories of life and people along the tracks'!

Greetings,

Filip

Perfect intro to our hobby

Anyone whoever wondered why we "play with trains" would figure it out from this video.  There's a lot of emotion in it.  Thank you.
